William Piper
University School of Milwaukee 5th grade World Cultural Geography Teacher
Mequon, WI
I am a fifth grade World Cultural Geography teacher at University School of Milwaukee, and teach a survey course on how people and places around the world are both similar and uniquely different. Developing, analyzing and tweaking this course and working with learners whose heritage spans all around the globe has given me a deep appreciation for the value of global education and the need to connect with one another as people and educators beyond the classroom walls. My passions include global education, connecting with other teachers and classes and looking at how we can all improve student learning and achievement. My hobbies outside of teaching include baseball (I'm an avid Milwaukee Brewers fan), and attending live alternative folk and indie rock shows. I am a husband and father of 3.
