Lower School Spanish Teacher
I have been teaching Lower School Spanish at University School of Milwaukee for the past 4 years. I have a background in Elementary Ed., Bilingual Education, Painting, Ceramics, Theatre, Dance, and of course Spanish! I have a Masters Degree in Reading, so I am passionate about literacy and language learning and I have very extensive experience in Early Intervention/ Early Childhood Special Education. I was raised in Colombia, South America, in Guatemala, and the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona, and spent a year in Russia doing a Youth Year of Service. I have varied interests and I bring all those elements into my teaching as much as possible. I am interested in creating global connections and integrating the arts, mathematics and science in my Spanish language classroom.
