You will be given the opportunity to explore what a true flipped math classroom looks like at an elementary level. We will explore modifications within the flipped framework, and applications to other academic areas. We will share data from within our district that shows the effectiveness of a flipped classroom compared to other teaching methods. In a traditional classroom students receive instruction in class (usually listening to a lecture of some sort) and then doing an "application" activity for homework (worksheet, project, etc). In the flipped classroom we reverse that while working within small groups. It can be used for all academic levels. Come explore this innovative teaching technique!
