Design thinking is a planning, implementation, and problem-solving process that can help educators meet challenges to provide ideal learning environments for students and teachers. It is a very collaborative process that puts the needs of people at the center of the planning work. Design thinking is a method that enables teachers to become effective innovators within their classrooms and schools to bring about needed changes. These changes can be anything from a learning space redesign, an overhaul of curriculum, to solving traffic issues in the school parking lot. Attendees will gain an understanding of the design thinking process and also participate in an engaging hands-on minds-on design challenge.
