I have been teaching for 15 years and have recently begun using comics and graphic novels in my class to help promote literacy and reading comprehension by engaging my students in using a medium that they would enjoy using. The hope is that it will bridge the gap between not wanting to read at all to not looking at reading as the end of all things!
I'm looking forward to learning a great deal and hope to incorporate gaming and other unique tools for next year!
